Their silver medal at the 2006 Olympic Winter Games in Torino, Italy was the first ever achieved by a team from the United States. Through their many accomplishments, which include three World Championship medals and five U.S. titles, they've transformed U.S. ice dancing from afterthought to center stage.
One could say Tanith and Ben are the quintessential American team—a combination of the traditional work ethic and the diversity that makes this country thrive. Born and raised in Canada, Tanith moved to the U.S. in search of a partner. She became a naturalized citizen shortly before the Olympic Winter Games and represents her country with the special pride of an immigrant grateful for the opportunities the U.S. provides. To succeed in ice dancing, a couple must share a dedication to training and also know how to work collaboratively. The many successes Tanith and Ben have achieved at such young ages—more than five years younger than the gold and bronze medalists in Torino—show great chemistry and tireless preparation pay off.
Tanith also knows how to attract attention off the ice. The December 2009 issue of Men's Health Magazine named her "America's hottest Olympic Athlete" and in 2006, Tanith was voted ESPN.com's "Hottest Female Athlete." She's also gotten some great reviews as an on-air contributing reporter for Good Morning America as well as the ESPY Awards. When she's not skating, you can find Tanith spending time with her family, friends and pets, or doing the things she loves, like bike riding, cooking and shopping.
In 2008, Tanith and Ben relocated from Detroit to the Philadelphia area to train with 1980 Olympic Winter Games gold medalists Natalia Linichuk and Gennadi Karponosov. They are committed to making another mark on U.S. ice dancing history by winning gold in Vancouver in 2010.

What did your mom pass on to you
that makes you the
fearless female
you are today?
Tanith: My mom taught me to be honest and stay true to myself. Having a strong sense of self helps me know what I can handle, the confidence to accept challenges and the security to ask for help when I need it as well.
Is there anything
you'd like to say
to your mom today?
Tanith: The very best parts of me are all from you and our family. Thank you for showing me how to let my heart lead me in the right direction.
Why Clinical Strength® Sport
is right for Tanith
"To warm up prior to taking the ice, we don't only stretch. We're doing push-ups, sit-ups and running," Tanith told People.com in an interview. "In that little warm-up, that's when I do a lot of my sweating. Then, I have to go directly in my costume and you want to make sure you still look good—In ice dancing, you're constantly being judged not only on what you're doing on the ice, but how you look while doing it. That means we have to look our absolute best at the very moment when the ultimate competitive pressure is on. Secret Clinical Strength Sport allows me to be confident that no matter how nervous I may be on the inside, I'll never show that stress on the outside."
